My Modern Day Hero

All of us have a hero that we may call. Some of them maybe are our parents, our friends, our teachers and the Almighty God.
For me, my heroes are my parents and the teachers. My parents because they are always there to guide me, to correct me if I’m wrong and teach me the proper attitude. They are always there, supporting and loving us, and they are there doing their very best to give or to provide our needs. They sacrifice a lot for us. I also consider the teachers as my hero because they are the one teaching us in school, they are our second parents. They are sacrificing their selves for us students, even if we are not their relatives. And even if their salary is not that big or not that much, they are contented and satisfied as long as the students are learning.
I look up to them because they inspire me a lot. They are a good model, not only for me, but for other young people also. And someday, I want to be like them.

Make a Move, P'noy (SONA)

The State of the Nation Address (SONA) happens every last monday of July every year. And this is the time when the leaderest are together.
And so, last July 25, 2011, the SONA of President Benigno Aquino III was held. He expressed his gratitude, and he stated in his SONA his accomplishments, the problems of our country and blamed Arroyo for all of these problems. Yes, we may say that he is a different one, because he delivered his SONA without any reference. But still he needs to do his duty very well, he is not excempted. And instead of blaming Arroyo for all of the problems, he should look for the best solution to resolve it. And I think he always compare the past administration to the present administration.
President Aquino, stop blaming the past administration, instead make a move, do your best to make our lives and our country better, and make us proud. Maybe, you should lessen the talks and more on deeds. Don't let us down, Sir.

Breastfeeding is Important

Breastmilk is the most important food for the baby, because it is the most easily digested food for them. And it is exclusively for the first six months.
Breastfeeding have two aspects- the nutritional aspect which is important and yet some mothers think that it can be substituted by the commercial milk, food for the baby and the psychological aspect which the bonding of the mother and the baby will be closer. It is important in the childcare. Breastmilk helps to protect babies from illnesses. But we know that some mothers do not like to breastfeed their babies because they want to maintain their figures, so they just let their babies to take those commercial milk. BUT mothers who do not breastfeed their babies are at risk of having an breast and ovarian cancer. And babies that do not take breastmilk are at higher risk for gastrointestinal infections, ear and respiratory infections, childhood cancer like leukemia, diabetes and obesity.
This is how important breastfeeding is. So, to be able to avoid these diseases, mothers should breastfeed their babies. And I guess, mothers do not like that their children will be at risk.
