What does it take to become an ICT student?

 

      To become an ICT  student, you don't have to be expert in computer.  As long as you are ready to listen and learn, you can expand your knowledge in computer as the day pass.

     To be an ICT student, you have to be patient.  'Cause not all the time, you can follow immediately the given instruction.  At first, I thought, ICT is "boring", but as we go on with our lessons, I find it interesting.  I enjoyed  using the HTML tags, but in using the tags, you should be careful because in just a single mistake, the tag that you want will not function.  I felt the excitement exploring the computer, in making web design, in using photo shop as well.

     Soon, we will be leaving our high school life. Yes, we cannot escape that feeling of sadness because of different reasons.  But part of me will be delighted, because I will leave with the knowledge that I've learned in ICT IV that I know,  I will be using it in my everyday life.

     If you want to learn or to gain something, you have to work hard for it!!

Change: Starts With Me

     "I WANT CHANGE!" - the most common quotation I've ever heard when someone want to improve something or want to change for the better.

     We should not just end up in words, instead, we should be more in deeds.  Words are nothing if you cannot do anything for change.

     Making change is not as easy as breathing or sleeping when you're tired.  It will really take  a lot of time.  I myself, just an ordinary student, could start for a change in small things such as in cleaning my own surroundings.  And  I think, if other people will see my simple doings for a change, they might also go with the flow. And if this will continue, soon, we will have a better world.

     I believe that with the TEAMWORK of the people concern, everything is possible and achievable.!

My Dream...... My Future

  

     Each of us are dreaming for our own future.  We chose what we want to take up in college.  We want to be successful someday.  And as we go  on in our lives, we encounter different problems, challenges.

     Soon, we will be entering a new dimension of our lives.  But before we move, we should think what course should we take up.  I myself, have not yet able to decide what course to take.  And I am hoping that, somehow, someday, when I will wake up in one morning, it would suddenly enter into my mind, I would know what should be the course that I am destined to.

   

     Maybe someday, I'll be part of the police forces, who helps discipline those people who are violating the law, who helps protect people.     
                                                                   
      Maybe  someday, I might be wearing an office uniform being greeted by other employees.  And the entire day, I'll be working with the papers, or meeting with the board, investors or clients.         
                                                                                                                                                                           I may be a civil engineer, who plans, designs, construct, and  manage structures.        


                  OR, I may also take the one of the noblest profession, the teaching.  No title attached to my name, but the word "ma'am" is always there, and seeing the students learning a lot would be a great honor.

     These are the choices that I have right now for my future. And as my days in high school decreases, I am also trying to evaluate what course shall I take and eliminates what I think is not really for me.
     Before having my own family, "if ever", I would like to help my parents first, I would like to give them the best that I can give.  I want them to be happy, to feel proud of me.  I want to tour them to different places, and if God permits, I want to tour them around the world, to enjoy and to relax.
     Maybe, my dream is too much or too high.  But, there is nothing wrong in dreaming for your future, as long as we are doing our very best to find a way to fulfill these dreams no matter what it takes and happens. Life is full of obstacles. 

Kannawidan Ylocos Festival

     The Kannawidan Festival is celebrated annually, from 31st day of January to 6th day of February.  This week-long festival which celebrates the 194th anniversary this year based on the Royal Decree dated February 2, 1818, separating Ilocos Sur to Ilocos Norte.

     The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products of the province.  It aims to harness Ilocos Sur's rich historical values and products in order to attract foreign and local tourist and investors as well.  The Kannawidan fest will follow immediately after the 10-day Vigan Longganisa Festtival.

     And as the early Ylocano tradition goes, the festival starts with a mass followed by a procession of the patron saints entire the City of Vigan.  There are so many activities during this fest.

    It was fun-filled week of celebration of the Kannawidan festival in Ilocos Sur.

"Reflection: Third Grading"

   Every start has its own finish line.  Every game have different levels.  And now that the third grading is over, we are also near to the finish line of this school year.

   Third grading was full of enjoyment and fun.  This grading, I learned about the HTML Images(tags), the ALT attribute tags, HTML links-- the anchor tags and href attribute. I've also used these tags in my exercises/activities.  This third grading, we were oblige to make essays, but sometimes I don't have any idea about the topic, that's why it takes me some time to finish those essays.  We were also tasks to use different tags in each exercises.  At first, I'm not sure about the tags that I'm using and I'm afraid in one mistake or one letter or symbol is wrong or missing, the entire HTML file might be ruined.  But, this challenges that I've encountered, it helped me enhance more my knowledge in ICT-IV.  We just need to be patient in making, doing the activities.

   Now, that third grading is over, it is time for us to go to the next level.  We need to continue what we have achieve now.  And soon, fourth grading, the final level/quarter of this school year will again start.  We need to do our very own best to improve what we have achieve now.

"New Year, New Me"

   Another year, another journey of life.  Another moments with families, friends and love ones to share, another memories to keep in our hearts and mind.  And as we go on through this year, we can't escape the problems, obstacles, we can't avoid to be hurt.

   As the year starts, we want to change for the better.   We want to forget those sad moments in our life, and start a new life.  As the year starts, we have new dreams to fulfill.

   This year, 2012, I did not actually promise anything to myself, because I'm afraid, I may not be able to fulfill those promises, and I will just disappoint myself.  But, I took note some resolutions that I hope I could fulfill before the year ends.  I would like to change my bad attitudes, wrong doings.  And I want to learn to control my temper because I easily get irritated and angry/mad.  I know these "simple" things will take a lot of time to fulfill but atvleast, I can start now, here for being such a better person.  But,sometimes, there are people who can't understand us, misinterpret us in our simple mistakes, and in some ways, not knowing, accidentally they re tryng, testing our personality/attitudes.

   I thank God for giving me another year to experience the beauty of life, even though we encounter different problems in our daily lives.

   If you really want something, you'll pursue yourself, trust yourself that you can get it the way you want it.!

"Keeping In Mind Our Mother Tongue"

   As a citizen in one country/place, we should keep in mind our mother tongue or our own dialect.  We should use it more often and patronize our own dialect.

   We, Filipinos, have our own dialect, Filipino(Tagalog). Wherever we may go, we should not forget our own language because it would symbolize who we are and where we came from.  Yes!  It is true that we need to learn and use another language to communicate to other people, and to be able to survive when we are in other country, and there's nothing wrong with it.

   But, let's keep it in our hearts and mind, that we should always remember our own dialect.  Be proud!
